Input Conference

Saturday, May 9th, 2009

input_logo_nowe I’m flying to Poland today to attend and present at the 2009 Input conference which is an international conference for public broadcasters. I’ll be speaking about multi-platform production for one of the reality shows I work on. It’s a great opportunity — I can’t wait to get on the plane!

I don’t know if the conference sessions have wi-fi available. If they do, I’ll post some thoughts on Twitter as I go or if not, maybe write a few posts in the hotel.

Everyone I’ve spoken to that has gone to this conference tells me it’s a great experience. I’m hoping to get some inspiration and new ideas to take back to work with me.

CRTC Hearings on New Media

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

This is too important not to blog, even in my downtime. If you’re a media producer in Canada, you won’t want to miss CRTC’s hearings taking place today, tomorrow and next week. Many different interests groups are presenting their case to CRTC (similar to FCC in the U.S.) on whether the internet should be regulated and if so, how.

Here’s where to watch the coverage:

Do you agree with internet regulation of any kind? If so, what regulations would you like to see the CRTC put in place?
